2 Important End Time Verses
Matthew 24:15 and Daniel 9:27
The Write Up
There are two important verses that one will want to be familiar with when it comes to the End Times. They are Matthew 24:15 and Daniel 9:27. I will expand lightly on these verses below. Click here or see the video at the end of the article to further expand on these notes. Pray and talk to Jesus about these Scriptures!
Matthew 24:15
“Therefore, when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand). - Matthew 24:15 (NKJV)
Jesus is referencing the Abomination of Desolation and who talks on it, Daniel. This tells us, we should be in the book of Daniel to learn more about the Abomination of Desolation. Matthew even tells the reader to UNDERSTAND!
Abominations are horrible acts against God. Desolate can mean destruction. The Abomination of Desolation, from my point of view, are horrible acts (by the antichrist) against God that causes destruction. Some of these acts are: The antichrist says that he is God in the temple of God (2 Thess. 2:4). The antichrist takes sacrifices and offerings away (Daniel 8:13, 9:27, 11:31, and 12:11). The image of the beast is set up (Dan 11:31, 12:11, Rev. 13:14-15). Mark of the beast is implemented (Rev. 13:16-18). Killing occurs (Dan. 7:25). *Strong emphasis on the image of the beast.
Daniel 9:27
Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate. - Daniel 9:27 (NKJV)
I will break apart this verse below. Bold is the scripture and my notes are in regular font.
Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
He (antichrist) will confirm a covenant for seven years (Hebrew meaning of the word week can mean seven years)
But in the middle of the week
Middle of the seven years
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
For the antichrist to bring an end to sacrifice and offering, there needs to be sacrifices and offerings occurring. These sacrifices and offerings will happen in Jerusalem in a temple that will need to be built.
Why will there be sacrifices and offerings occurring?
From my understanding, the Judaism faith still believes in the Mosaic Law; therefore, they want the sacrificial system.
From my outlook, those who follow Judaism are still waiting for their Messiah (the anointed one, a mighty king, and ruler). They see their future Messiah, from my perspective, like the person from Jeremiah 23:5-6 and Micah 4:1-4 - a warrior and conquer (which Jesus is, however, we will see this role of Him at His second return). They do not seem to comprehend that the Messiah (Jesus) is also the man in Isaiah 53, Daniel 9:24-26 and Zechariah 9:9.
Why will the antichrist take away sacrifices and offerings?
Because he will say that He is God, therefore, there will be no need to do sacrifices and offerings (See 2 Thess. 2:4).
We want to pray for Israel, bless her, and be for her:
Psalm 122:6 / Gen. 12:2-3 / Zech. 2:8 and 12:9
If you come across someone with the Judaism faith:
Get to know them and ask questions. You could ask them, “Who do you believe the Messiah is, based on the Old Testament Scriptures?” Lovingly ask them who they think the person is in Isaiah 53, Zechariah 9:9, and Daniel 9:24-26 (which is Jesus).
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
We see the Abomination of Desolation here, even though Daniel words it differently. As mentioned from earlier, the Abomination of Desolation is when: The antichrist says that he is God in the temple of God (2 Thess.
Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.
It is determined that the antichrist will be consumed! God’s wrath will be poured out on the antichrist who will cause destruction.
